We are delighted to announce that, due to recent significant investment, we have just finished refurbishing, decorating and restocking our library. The children have been very complimentary about the comfortable and colourful library environment and thoroughly enjoy selecting both ‘old favourites’, and new books as they appear on the shelves. We hope that these webpages are helpful to both parents and children, in providing up-to-date information about the day-to-day use of our school library.

 

 

Thank yous..

 

A beautiful set of 30 animal books entitled ‘Nature’s Children’ has been very kindly donated by Kiara and Kaitlyn, pupils at Akrotiri School. Thank you very much Kiara and Kaitlyn, animal books are always very popular with our borrowers. (March 2008)

 

A big thank you to Mrs Fortune, who has recently arrived in Cyprus to work at Akrotiri Medical Centre, for donating a set of the Harry Potter series. These books will be borrowed and enjoyed by many of the children at Akrotiri School.(March 2008)

 

Book Donations

 

Akrotiri School is always very appreciative of new books donated by pupils and families. A book plate detailing the name of the donor is affixed to each book before it is put into circulation. This practice causes much delight amongst pupils who enjoy choosing a book which has been donated by a former friend/pupil of Akrotiri School.
